Rescheduling & refunds
Phone readings may be rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice, and are fully refundable if cancelled more than 24 hours before the call. Written questions are fully refundable until the reading has been sent. Once a reading has been delivered — live or written — it is not refundable.
If you bought the course here on the website and it isn't what you hoped for, it's refundable within 14 days — email me and I'll take care of it, no explanation required.
If you subscribed inside the iPhone app, the payment went to Apple rather than to me, and only Apple can return it: ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. Email me as well if you like — I can't process an App Store refund myself, but I would rather know.
The course subscription
The course — the narrated lessons, all seventy-eight card entries, the spreads, the practice partner and the journal — is a subscription. Inside the iPhone app it is sold by Apple as an in-app purchase, in one of three lengths:
- One week, $4.99, renewing every week.
- One month, $14.99, renewing every month.
- One year, $111.99, renewing every year.
Those are the United States prices. Elsewhere Apple sets and shows the local one, and the price on the purchase screen in the app is always the price that applies to you.
It renews on its own. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, and the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before that period ends. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the new period starts.
You can stop it whenever you like. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel there. Cancelling stops the next charge and you keep the course until the period you have already paid for runs out. It is done in those settings rather than in the app because Apple holds the subscription, not me.
What you are paying for is the whole course as it stands, and whatever is added to it while you are subscribed. Nothing that is included today is moved behind a second payment later.
Privacy
Your name, contact details, and questions are used only to deliver your reading and are never sold or shared. Payments made on this website are processed by Stripe; The Drawn Card never sees or stores your card details. Subscriptions bought inside the iPhone app are handled entirely by Apple, and nothing about that payment reaches me either. Email delivery is handled by Resend. You can ask for your information to be deleted at any time.
Your journal. Cards you log and the reflections you write are kept on your device and backed up to private storage so they survive a lost phone. They are stored privately, under an address derived from your account rather than from your name or email, are never public or guessable, and are used for nothing but showing you your own journal. You can download the whole thing, or delete all of it, from inside the course at any time. Deleting removes the backup as well as the copy on your device.
Photographs of your cards. When you photograph a card from your own deck, the picture is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to work out which card it is, and is then kept with that journal entry — a journal of your own deck in your own light is a different thing from a journal of our drawings. Anthropic does not use API content to train its models. The photograph is stored privately, in a folder named by a hash of your identity rather than your email, and is only ever shown to you through a link that stops working after ten minutes; it is never on a public or guessable address. Deleting the entry deletes the photograph, and deleting your account deletes every one of them. If you would rather not send a photograph anywhere, type the card's name instead — both routes reach the same journal.
The practice partner. When you send an interpretation for feedback, the card, the scenario and what you wrote are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the response. Anthropic does not use API content to train its models. Nothing about your practice sessions is stored here afterwards. If you would rather not have your writing leave this site, simply don't use that feature — everything else in the course works without it.
